The best time of the year is finally here! These past few years, fall in Colorado happens pretty fast. One day it's 90 degrees outside, and then the next thing you know, you can’t leave the house without a jacket. It rarely eases into itself. Although it has yet to feel like fall here in Colorado, it’s never too early to start planning your fall wardrobe!
I’ve put together a style guide of fall pieces that make styling outfits easy every single year. We know fall is all about layering, so I made sure to include various types of pieces that everyone needs! These pieces are what I consider to be a part of a “capsule wardrobe,” meaning that without fail, these pieces are perfect for every season because they will always be in style. Think of these pieces as the peanut butter to your jelly (trendy, unique pieces)!
Tops
- Neutral Camisole: This is where it all starts. Layering is the key to fall fashion, so without a good base, you’re off to a rocky start. A neutral camisole top will allow you to get away with any top layering pieces.

- Distressed Black Denim Jeans: This goes without saying, but a pair of black denim pants is something everyone needs in their closet. There’s just something about distressed black denim that is just *chef's kiss*.
